- Description
- Cancha is a platform for running sports tournaments. Registrations, draws, multi-court scheduling, live standings and TV display: everything that used to live in spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, brought together in a single tool, for every sport.
Context
Running an amateur tournament still too often means a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group and a lot of manual work: scattered registrations, groups drawn by hand, a schedule to rebuild the moment a match runs late, and standings recalculated between games. I started Cancha as a personal product to solve that end to end, whatever the sport: football, futsal, padel, tennis, volleyball, basketball or pétanque.
Approach
I designed and built the entire platform: visual identity, admin interface and public pages. Registrations go through a dedicated form, the draw generates groups with an animated reveal, the multi-court schedule builds itself and absorbs delays, and standings update live. On top of that: knockout stages (groups, brackets, play-offs), referee assignment, a fair-play ranking, a sponsors area and a TV display mode for the venue. All of it available in three languages.
Result
A tool that covers the tournament from registration to the trophy ceremony, without a single spreadsheet. Organizers run their event from one interface, teams and spectators follow groups, schedule and standings in real time, and TV mode shows the tournament live on a screen in the venue. Cancha is now online and open to its first organizers.
